"WIGGLERS" STORY HOURS

All Wigglers Story times are presented at 9:30 and 11:00 am. on program days. These 35 minute programs are planned for preschoolers and their families.  They include stories, rhymes and songs. An interpreter for the hearing impaired will be present at the 9:30 session each Thursday. For more information phone the Youth Services Department at (231) 932-8503 (voice) or (231) 932-8507 (TDD).

Infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their “big people”

Make and take craft: “Light up your Halloween with luminaries”

• board books for babies
• beginning reader materials
• lots of picture books
• chapter books through Junior High age
• non-fiction books to help with schoolwork as well as many reference materials to use at the library
• magazines for babies to children through 6th grade such as Cricket, Highlights, Ranger Rick, American Girl, Sports Illustrated Jr. Zillions, and more!
• kits come with cassette tapes and read-along books - foreign language, music, activity, story cassettes, and more
• puppets of various critters to check out and play with
• hard cover and paperback fiction books galore - Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, Baby-Sitters Club, Goosebumps, Brian Jacques Redwall series, and more
• rotating displays of special collection books for many holidays
• puzzles to use at the library
• don't forget the area school children's artwork on display
• the Sight and Sound department has many videos and compact discs for children too!
• the Young Adult department has expanded with our new location
